About Me
Who I am
Hello and welcome to my travel blog!
My name is Saulius, I am Lithuanian by birth, but I have spent most of my adult life living abroad. So far, I have visited 19 countries, primarily in Europe.
This blog captures only a fraction of my travels, showcasing a selection of the destinations that have captured my heart and imagination. Many of the images you’ll find here are taken with the trusty old pocket cameras from the mid 2000s, reflecting my journey through time and technology.
Photography and videography are my passions. I love capturing the essence of the places I visit through my lens. When searching for the perfect photo or video spot, I tend to avoid crowded areas, seeking out unique and less-traveled vantage points. My photography often features landmarks from unusual angles and under different lighting conditions, aiming to present a fresh perspective on well-known sites.
My travel experiences are deeply enriched by immersing myself in local culture. I prefer dining where the locals do, steering clear of tourist traps to savor authentic culinary traditions. This approach not only satisfies my taste buds but also helps me connect more intimately with the places I visit.
History is another passion of mine. I delve into the historical backgrounds of the locations I explore, conducting additional research to deepen my understanding and enhance my travel experiences. This fascination with history often leads me to discover hidden stories and lesser-known facts about each destination.
When it comes to nature and landscapes, I am constantly on the lookout for the best natural lighting to capture the beauty of the outdoors. My camera is my tool for preserving these stunning views, allowing me to remember and share them with others.
I am a slow traveler at heart. I take my time to soak in the atmosphere, wander off the beaten path, and truly experience the essence of each new location. My travels are about quality over quantity, and I hope to convey that through my blog.
I hope you enjoy browsing through my blog and that it inspires your own travel adventures. Thank you for joining me on this journey!
